RATEX 2023 Update and Entry Form

Hi Fellow Volks Enthusiasts,

Below is an outline of the 2023 Ratex with dates, booking details and other detail.

For this Ratex we have decided to have multiple night stops at a few places, and also allow for highway only alternative routes for those not wanting to get their cars dirty. We are hoping that this will introduce some new faces to the Ratex experience.

Please look to make bookings asap, and contact the organising committee to let us know that you’re coming!

First stop is Kimba for one night on the 25th March 2023 and we will be staying at the Kimba Motel Roadhouse and Caravan Park. Contact the motel on 08 8627 2222 to book. Alternative accommodation available at Kimba Gateway Hotel, 08 8627 2888.

Second Stop is Streaky Bay for two nights (26th and 27th of March 2023) staying at Streaky Bay Islands caravan park, Contact Aaron on 08 7600 0020 to book.

Last stop will be Port Broughton for 2 nights (31st March and 1st April 2023) Port Broughton Tourist Park 08 8635 2188.

A decision on the charity has been made. We will be donating to the Cummins Hospital Auxiliary to assist with upgrades to the Cummins hospital. Lucky Phil and myself visited Cummins this week to nail down these details and have also arranged a sausage sizzle on Day 5 (30th of March) with the assistance of the Cummins Lions club and local butcher. We will present a cheque at this time.

The registration form is now online at the VECSA website and attached to this email, and registrations will close on the 8th of February to coincide with our meeting which will be held for those attending or wanting to attend on the 8th of February at Café Komodo (6:00pm for a 6:30pm start) – No food available only drinks.

Rate stays the same at $200 per car which includes a t-shirt, your stickers and donation. T-shirt sizes and quantities are to be filled out on the form.
