AM South East Auto Club are holding an Autocross at their excellent track if you’re interested. The track is a short drive West of Mt Gambier at the corner of Marte Siding Rd and Megaws Rd.
1 PM Little Rippa Brewing Company, 107 Ruwoldt Rd, Yahl – 5 minutes East of
Mt Gambier. They have a wood-fired oven and a wide variety of beers
The main 2 attractions in Mt Gambier are the Blue Lake and the Umpherston Sinkhole. As both are within easy reach, you can decide when you go to see them. Ideally a sunny day is the best time to see the Blue Lake.

Federation Motorfest 2024
Federation Motorfest for 2024 is here and welcome to this year’s events. The events have been organised by some of South Australia’s great historic car clubs and will certainly be of interest to our Interstate, Country and local enthusiasts. Again the various day outings will take you to many well-known, and some not so well known places of interest. For this Federation Motorfest we go to destinations which range from the lower mid north, the Adelaide Hills to the Fleurieu showcasing so much of our great state of South Australia. We trust that as many of you as possible will take advantage of this wonderful programme and avail yourselves to as many Federation Motorfest events as possible. Please be aware that you do not require a specific vehicle to enter any of these events. You may use any vehicle you wish to, including your current model family car.

2024 John Blanden’s Climb to The Eagle
This year's event will be held on Friday, 25th October, one week earlier than normal, due to preparations in Victoria Park for the Adelaide 500.
The start will again be from in front of the Old Grandstand in Victoria Park with the first cars waved off at 9:00 am.
Morning Tea will be held at the Hahndorf Resort, and as in prior years we will have a speaker, or speakers, recalling their unique connection to the Adelaide Grands Prix.
The route to lunch this year will be the Northern GP through the Barossa Valley to the Vine Inn in Nuriootpa.
We have simplified the entry process this year so you just need to choose to do the Climb to The Eagle, then Morning Tea and Lunch as you wish.
As always, this ever popular annual event fills fast and sells out, so get in early to make sure you don’t miss out!
Entries can be done ONLINE HERE or if you prefer you can complete the Entry Form attached and return.
Once your entry has been accepted you will receive a confirmation email.

Loxton Historical Run
The Riverland Vintage and Classic Car Club invite you to join our “Loxton Historical Run” on October 26th-28th 2024.
The organising committee has planned an exciting weekend featuring some time in the Loxton Historical village and a run through the mallee to an extensive car and vehicle collection. You will be impressed by our country hospitality and overwhelmed by our organisation skills and the sheer size of the collection.
A very small part of the run will be on an unsealed surface (5kms) but the road is sound and will cause no problems.
Accommodation is always limited and we would advise you to book ASAP if you intend to come. Details are included with this letter.

37th ANNUAL POWER OF THE PAST
This year will feature two categories of entry. To be judged and to be eligible for a trophy an entry form must be completed and submitted to the Registrar. Forms are available on the internet at the Club web site, www.ahmrc.org
The entry fee is $20.00 which includes a rally pack, entry for two people, rally badge and eligibility for trophy judging in the featured vehicle category. The completed entry form must be received by the 30th of September 2024.

Art & Photography Competition
Motors & Masterpieces is proud to unveil the inaugural Art and Photography Prize sections of festivities, with the pre-eminent automotive event set to take over the Melbourne Showgrounds from November 22 to 24, 2024.
The subject matter for prospective entrants is simply ‘The Classic Motoring Movement’, and it is recommended that entries attempt to fit into one of the event’s 10 themes, with selected pieces displayed at the event in the relevant area.
Separate awards are available in both the artwork and photography divisions, with the first prize for each being $4,000, while each runner-up will receive $1,000.
All entries remain the property of the entrants; however, Motors & Masterpieces reserves the right to use the winning and runner-up entries as promotional materials for the 2025 event, with due recognition given. Further to this, the entrants cannot use these works for other commercial purposes.
The selection of winners will be made by a panel of prominent individuals from the Australian art and cultural scene, with their decision final and incontestable.
All entries must be made through the Motors & Masterpieces website no later than October 18th, 2024.
Selected entries must be made available to the event organisers at the Melbourne Showgrounds on 21 November 2024, with details to be provided beforehand.
