VOLKS ENTHUSIASTS MID WEEK RAMBLE 15 JUNE 2022

We couldn’t have picked a worse day weather-wise for this event! Rain and wipers going the whole way to our mid-point destination. Three vehicles braved the weather to enjoy playing in the rain!
We met at Tea Tree Gully library car park and set off for the Whispering Wall Barossa Reservoir, via Chain of Ponds, Kersbrook and Williamstown for a lunch stop.
I’m sure that the shelter hasn’t been ‘serviced’ for quite some time. You could stand under it and have a cold shower when the gutters filled up and they overflowed!
After lunch, we headed back to the city via Para Wirra Road, Humbug Scrub, One Tree Hill Road and Golden Grove Road with a stop over at the Garden Grove Nursery for a hot chocolate and yummy cakes for afternoon tea.
Total distance from Tea Tree Gully was 75 kms.
